SANTANDER AND AROUND

The capital of Cantabria, Santander, boasts a wonderful promenade with some fabulous beaches (such as "Sardinero") and "El Palacio de la Magdalena", who actually lived there at the time of King Alfonso XIII.

Not far from Santander can find other beautiful sea towns like La Virgen Del Mar or Liencres declared a Natural Park due to its famous sand dunes.

Paseo Marítimo. A good walk to admire the bay one of the most beautiful in the world

On this journey we meet the ferry. Do not hesitate to take a leisurely boat trip. There are several options. They can take a walk along the bay by boat or take the boat that usually comes to Pedreña or Somo. I advise going to Somo, a walk through the town (it has a beautiful resort and beach).

The Royal Site of the Magdalene is found in the homonymous peninsula at the end of the Paseo del Sardinero. It is away from downtown, but there are plenty of bus lines which stop here.
